Sidney 6, Oxford 2
OXFORD – Dani Gravel and Stephanie Meno broke loose for three goals apiece, as Sidney pulled away for the win at Oxford Monday night.
After trading goals with the Blackhawks most of the first half, Meno scored her second tally of the game at 16:34 to break a 2-2 tie.
Gravel had early goals at 32:07 and 26:23 of the second half to build a three-goal cushion. “I don’t think we communicated as well on the defensive end as we have been,” said Oxford coach Kathleen Cragle. “They are quick up front and get to the open spaces.”
Kim Shackelton and Amanda Brown had goals for Oxford, who host G-MU Thursday.

ONEONTA – Monica Jones scored a pair of goals for host Oneonta in a shutout victory over Norwich.
Cha Cha Naito and Hannah Lawson added tallies for the ‘Jackets, who led by two goals at halftime. “We played better than the first time we played them, and were able to get a few shots on goal,” said Norwich coach Jeremy Bolton. “We started slow in each half and they started fast. That hurt us.”
Norwich is at Owego Wednesday.

SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville honored its senior players before the game, and went on to dominate on the field in a shutout of Canastota Monday.
Bridget Irwin scored two of her three goals in the opening three minutes of the game to set the tone. Irwin and Sarah Brown connected back-to-back within the first five minutes of the second half.
Sherburne-Earlville (5-1, 8-4-2) trails first-place Sauquoit Valley by half a game in Center State Conference division play. S-E hosts SV Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

BAINBRIDGE – Delhi utilized the speed of forward Eva Rae Andrews to score two first-half goals in a win at B-G Monday.
Andrews tallied 34 seconds into the game getting a chipped pass from Maci Gile to create a breakaway. After B-G’s Dani Conway tied it at 28:03, Andrews scored in similar fashion with 7:54 remaining in the opening period. “They like to use (Andrews’) speed, and it worked to a tee today,” said B-G coach George Williams.
