OXFORD – On Saturday, at 7:30 p.m, 6 On The Square (6OTS) presents Red Haired Strangers. This extraordinarily talented, five-man group has been playing together for the past 15 years, forging original music that contains hints of country and delta blues influences. Their music consists of original words set to driving melodies complete with evocative images of wandering, trains, sin and love lost.

The Strangers, a.k.a. “RHS,” are Ryan Dunham on harmonica and vocals; John Rice on guitar and vocals; Joe Gumpper, lead and rhythm fiddle; Rick Morse on pedal steel and dobro guitars; and Chris Scharl on drums and percussion. They all were driven to music early in life and collectively have an eclectic mixture of educational backgrounds and musical experience. They worked independently in other bands until their paths crossed, creating RHS. In time, they expanded and produced their sound – and it caught on! Together they create a blend of acoustic music which reflects blues, folk and Americana influences. Come and get familiar with Red Haired Strangers!

Purchase tickets on-line at the discounted price of $12, until the day of the show; $15 on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
