Help the pet overpopulation .. buy mums!

NORWICH – There’s a “cold snap” coming which should remind you that it’s that time again for the 5th Annual CCSPCA SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) Fall Mum Sale. You can help to solve the overpopulation situation of cats and dogs in Chenango County by buying beautiful chrysanthemum plants at Pires Flower Basket, Rt. 12 in Norwich or Gallery Three-Two-One, 41 State St. in Oxford. Available at both locations during normal business hours. (The gallery’s hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 11 to 5.)

These hardy bloomers are in 8” pots and come in a myriad of great fall colors like yellow, bronze, orange, and burgundy (in every color but blue!). There is no guarantee they will come up every year, but they will hold their blossoms for weeks. Mums are just $6 for one plant, $16 for three, and $30 for six. They’re available now until the end of September or until sold out. Best of all, all proceeds benefit SNAP.

CCSPCA SNAP is dedicated to reducing the number of puppies and kittens born in Chenango County by providing essential financial assistance to pet owners in the cost of spaying and neutering their pets.
