Miss Youth Days 2008 crowned

NEW BERLIN – New Berlin held its Miss Youth Days Pageant at the Unadilla Valley High School Thursday and honored the Youth Days’ citizen and youth of the year.

Youth of the Year Matthew Harrington and Citizen of the Year Ross Iannello were honored by the Youth Days Committee before the pageant.

Three judges sat from 6 to 9 p.m. as dozens of Miss Youth Days contestants in elegant formal dresses answered questions regarding their community, individuality and family in hopes of being crowned the next winner.



Kayla Burch was declared 2008’s Miss Youth Days, with first runner-up Jamie Lynn Rifanburg and second runner-up Samantha Larrabee.

The Junior Miss Youth Days sash went to Brittany Tuttle, with first runner-up Sierra Schrag and second runner-up Kiran Borst.

Little Miss Youth Days 2008 is Alyssa Devine, with first runner-up Madyson McCarthy and second runner-up Brooke Brown.
