CMH plans diabetes course

NORWICH – If you recently have been diagnosed with diabetes, or if you would like a refresher on self-management techniques, sign up for the next series of classes on diabetes self-management at Chenango Memorial Hospital. Chenango Memorial Hospital’s diabetes training center is now a site for the United Health Services Diabetes Education and Management Center, and this course is recognized by the American Diabetes Association.



Increased awareness, education, early detection and treatment of complications and good self-management techniques can prevent or reduce the severity of many of the health problems associated with diabetes. Pam Lyons, RN, Certified Diabetic Educator, will facilitate Chenango Memorial Hospital’s 3-class self management course Monday, Aug. 11, Thursday, Aug. 14, and Thursday, Aug. 21 , 6 to 9 p.m. each evening.
