EDITOR’S NOTE: The Bricks & Mortar Report provides updates on major construction projects in Chenango County.

Chenango County Fire Department Tower Project:

• Microwave dishes have been installed on most of the new towers in Otselic, Pharsalia and Coventry. Transmitting antennas and cables are set to go up next with the project’s deadline now set for July, officials say.

Dunkin’ Donuts:

• The Dunkin Donuts restaurant underway on state Rt. 12 South in the Town of Norwich is scheduled to be completed in late July, said project manager Terry Summers of the Syracuse contracting firm, Rich and Gardner.



• Construction crews began work at the site April 7. The concrete slab has been poured, framing is near complete and workers anticipate placing the roof on the structure this week.

• More site work is schedule for next week, followed by interior rough-ins.

Halfway House Bridge (County Route 32B):

• The bridge is ahead of schedule and could be open for motorists in late July or early August, Chenango County Highway Director Randy Gibbon said.
