Palace presents "Evening with Groucho"

HAMILTON – The Palace Theater, Hamilton, is pleased to present award-winning actor/director/playwright Frank Ferrante as he recreates his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx, at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The fast paced 90 minute, two-act comedy consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including “Hooray for Captain Spalding,” and “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.” The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style. Fields, Greta Garbo, Marx foil, Margaret Dumont and MGM’s Louis B. Mayer. “Such a performance is rare.” The London Daily Mail;“Artful…Mr. Ferrante’s timing is digital sharp…” The New York Times; “Frank Ferrante is a marvelous Groucho…” Newsday; “Ferrante’s Groucho is a tour de force…” Variety. “An Evening With Groucho is sure to thrill and entertain all ages!”
