Awake - Picture this! Have you ever known someone who has trouble sleepwalking or ever been driving along being deep in thought and you ask “How did I get here?” Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba team up for this thriller. Christensen stars as Clay Beresford, who has everything going for him when he suddenly needs emergency surgery. Alba plays Sam. Sam and Clay have not been married long. Clay is nervous about being operated on but he knows he has to do it for Sam. After getting into surgery, they put him to sleep and Clay discovers he is still awake and can hear everything happening around him. He starts to have strange sensations and starts to have a funny feeling about his doctor. It becomes a game of cat and mouse as time goes on. Is Clay starting to lose his sanity or is the doctor up to something? Rent this one now. Alba is getting ready for impending motherhood but not before starring in a new movie called “The Love Guru” (with Mike Myers) coming soon. Christensen is currently starring in the film “Jumper” now in theaters.

101 Dalmatians - Walt Disney has some of the greatest animated films in history and this one is nothing to sneeze at. Based on the classic children’s story, a struggling husband and wife are the proud owners of their two loving dalmations, Pongo and Pertida. Pertida is about to have a litter of puppies. Suddenly, a strange woman with an offer they can’t refuse comes in. Her name is Cruella Deville. She wants to buy the dogs and their puppies. Deville will not take “no” for an answer. After the dog owners show her the door, Cruella decides to take matters into her own hands. During the night, the puppies are stolen. There have been a rash of kidnappings (or dognappings) around the area and she may have had something to do with it. It turns out she has a rather unique fashion sense and wants the dogs to make herself a new fur coat. Pongo and Pertida go in search of their missing pups and find more than they bargained for. Nearly 100 pups are found along with theirs. Can they escape the clutches of Cruella and her henchmen? A great Easter present for the kids. Another great animated classic “Anastasia” is out on DVD along with Season 3 of “Ben 10” which is now in stores.
