Donut World opens in Oxford

OXFORD – The early morning allure of fresh coffee and just-baked pastries is the key ingredient to success for a new local business opening in downtown Oxford.

After baking in the kitchen for over 20 years, the owner of Donut World, Dave Clark says he just can’t get enough.

“I just felt like it was time for a new, good change. I found it here, in the quaint village of Oxford. I thought that the community could use a bakery,” said Clark.

Donut World opened it doors for regular business in mid-January with its hours beginning at 5 a.m. and closing at 11 a.m., Monday through Saturday.

“Right now we open up early so people can stop in before heading to work. We have freshly baked donuts and coffee. Every night we come in and bake a new batch for the morning. I make them from scratch and they’re always fresh,” he said.
