Community Workshop ARC:
• A six-bedoom residential home for clients of the privately-held Community Workshop ARC of Norwich is under construction on East River Road in the Town of Norwich.
• The 2,400 square foot facility is in the initial stages of construction. Exterior siding was erected last week and workers are currently installing electrical infrastructure. Plumbing is on the docket next to be followed by insulation and sheet rocking after the first of the year.
• Randy Hay Construction Inc. of Chenango Forks is the contractor.
• Executive Director John McHale said paperwork began a year ago for the $300,000 facility, funded in part by the New York State Office for Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
