Board of Elections confirms voting glitch, doesn’t believe it changed outcome
PLYMOUTH – The Chenango County Board of Elections has confirmed that there was a glitch Tuesday in the voting machine at the Plymouth Fire House polling site.
After the problem was reported by voter #66 around mid-morning, Republican Elections Commissioner Harriet Jenkins said all voting on the machine was halted until it could be fixed by an elections custodian directly thereafter.
Voting resumed after the custodian repaired two jammed levers in the first column on the ballot that would not have allowed voters to choose Republican Gary Simpson and Democrat Ricky Alger as their top two choices of the four for Plymouth Town Council.
