Genealogy Workshop to be held in Earlville

EARLVILLE – Learning about your families roots and origins is something that more and more people are attempting to accomplish, and on Saturday, Oct. 27, those interested in doing so could gain some help from one Earlville organization.

From 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, The James Madison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will sponsor a Genealogy Workshop. The workshop will shed some light on ways to trace a family’s ancestry, and information on the various ways of finding family information.

The workshop will be held at the Community Meeting Room, located in the Earlville Library. Included in the session will be information on how to complete an application for membership in a lineage society; ways to discover your revolutionary ancestors; and information on developing a new hobby – the fastest growing in the nation.
