Coffee Connection opens anew in downtown

NORWICH – The downtown Broad Street strip in Norwich saw the return of one of its cultural venues yesterday as the Coffee Connection reopened in its new location after over a month of renovations.

The Cafe is just a door down from its old location at 30 S. Broad St.

“The Connection aspires to blend cultural cuisines in both the traditional sense while exploring new, innovative styles and techniques. The menu reflects familiar and delicious food yet is inspired by the cuisine of Spain, Europe and the Mediterranean,” said owner Geri Barnes.

The cafe has seized the opportunity and included several locally produced foods in their recipes. Some of the local ingredients used include vegetables, honey, grains, herbs and dairy.

The Cafe Connection is in the process of acquiring its liquor license so it can open a new wine bar. The cafe already serves a range of tapas that will complement its future wine selection. Tapas is a traditional Spanish bite-sized dish casually eaten between larger meals. It is commonly served with wine.

I doubt they will be serving mad dog or boones, so idea of serving "alcohol to all of the unemployed young men and women of our town" is probably a little extreme. This sounds like it will be a little more classy. Welcome Back Coffee Conection!!

Open Wifi? This might be a good hang out. Hope the coffee is better than the D@Ds.

Oh yes, that's what Norwich needs another place to serve alcohol to all of the unemployed young men and women of our town.
