SHERBURNE – This Aug. 10 and 11, the Sherburne Music Theater Society is presenting “A ... My Name is Alice” in the intimate space of The Palace Theater in Hamilton, New York. Conceived and originally directed by Joan Micklin Silver and Julianne Boyd, “A ... My Name is Alice” was developed in a workshop process with the work of 28 composers and writers making it to the final cut. The resultant musical revue proves to be rich in variety and maintains an enviably consistent high level of quality.

The cast for “A .. My Name is Alice” is made up of nine talented performers: Shari Taylor from Earlville; Sarah Liuzzo from South Otselic; Krysta Nower from Earlville; Maggie Fitzpatrick from Sherburne; Lauren Mettler from Sherburne; Ellen Fagan from Earlville; Nicole St. Pierre from New Berlin; Evie Hammer-Lester from Georgetown; and Lisette Shiffer from Hamilton. Donna Moren of Sherburne, with Winnie Sortman from Greene as music director and Bethany Sortman from Greene as choreographer, directs the production. Rehearsals began in July and these very talented local actresses have been hard at work learning songs, choreography and staging for each of the individual scenes.
