NORWICH – All ages and abilities are invited to play in the 2nd Annual Mary Jane Prindle Memorial Golf Tournament coming up June 29 at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich.
“It’s open to everyone,” said Walt Prindle, who organized the tournament in honor of his late wife Mary Jane, who died of cancer in October 2005. “We encourage players of all levels to participate.”
Four-man teams will compete in captain and crew format. Each squad will be assessed an overall handi-cap based on individual skill levels. Aside from the 18-hole tournament, there will also be a putting contest, chipping contest and a hole-in-one contest where participants could win a new car.
Team sign-up sheets are available at the country club Pro-Shop or by contacting Walt at 334-7398. Registration for the begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29.
