Voices of Tabernacle and Claddagh Ring Dancers to perform at EOH

EARLVILLE – The Voices of Tabernacle and the Claddagh Ring Dancers will be performing a folk concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Earlville Opera House. In a celebration of folk music and dancing, the Voices of Tabernacle, led by Anita Humer and the Claddagh Ring Dancers, led by Christine Carnrike will perform an array of traditional songs and dances.

“The theme of the evening is folk songs and dances from around the world,” said Humer. An array of pieces will be performed from England, Scotland, Ireland, Japan, America, Russia and more. Voices of Tabernacle is a choral group comprised of 33 adult and teen members from eight area towns. The chorus is sponsored by the Episcopal Church of Epiphany.

“Folk music is traditionally and typically an anonymous expression of life in a country,” said Humer.
