Oxford Continues To Look At Middle School Building’s Future

OXFORD – Despite the recent concern over what the district should do with its aging middle school building, no one from the public showed up at Oxford’s Board of Education meeting Wednesday.

Oxford Academy has been looking at what exactly to do with its middle school building. The structure’s 77-year-old design proved vulnerable in last year’s unusually severe floods, costing the school about $1.1 million in repairs. Superintendent Randy Squier said the school will be bringing in a private engineering firm to assess the building and offer suggestions.
