Chenango Valley 56, Norwich 38
CHENANGO BRIDGE – Norwich faltered against Chenango Valley’s pressure defense and fell for the fourth time in five games Wednesday.
Donnalynn Cross scored 14 of her 21 points in the first half, and Alanna Cooney netted seven of her 14 leading the Warriors to a 13-point halftime lead. “We struggle against good man-to-man defense,” said Norwich coach Bob Branham. “They pressed us early and got some easy baskets off turnovers. In our halfcourt offense, our off-the-ball movement isn’t good enough to consistently give us good looks at the basket.”
Alicia Testani had 16 points for Norwich (6-5), who host Sus Valley Friday.

Unatego 59, Greene 48
WELLS BRIDGE – Unatego forwards Owen Moss and Joe Innes each scored 18 points for the Spartans Wednesday in a win over Greene.
Greene was held to a season-low 14 points in the first half and trailed by 14 points at the break. Despite a concerted effort at being more patient on offense, the Trojans were ultimately unable to cash in on its shot attempts. “We had a lot of zero- and one-pass possessions our last game, so we have been working all week on moving the ball and looking for good shots,” said Greene coach Jeff Paske. “We got our shots, we just didn’t hit them.”
