Business blooms in dowtown Norwich

NORWICH – Silvernail’s Florist will be holding its grand opening this Friday and Saturday. The latest storefront to occupy Broad Street, Silvernail’s will be giving out coupons for 10 percent off your total purchase during their grand opening. The first 50 customers will receive a free carnation.

Wendy Silvernail, a Norwich native, and her husband Kevin have lived in Florida for the last five years. They moved back so they could pursue their dream of owning a small business. Now that dream is a reality, and Kevin is already discussing the possibility of expanding in the near future.

The store opened on Oct. 24, but has not yet had its full stock of available merchandise. Silvernail’s will offer a wide range of gift items, including crystal, pottery, and many light house items. Yankee Candles should be available by the grand opening, and Wendy and Kevin provide a full range of florist services, including wedding and funeral arrangements. They will also deliver within a 30-mile radius.
