Music Shop pumps up Pumpkin Fest

NORWICH – The Music Shop has a full line-up of live music scheduled during the 8th Annual Pumpkin Festival this weekend. World class blues guitarist Roger “Hurricane” Wilson will be playing a free acoustic show at the Pub Friday night, and a special second show Sunday evening as the special guest for the Pub’s Blues Club. The club is a 10 week series of shows featuring critically acclaimed acts from across America.

“People go all over to hear great music,” said Pub owner Greg Grosvenor. “But they don’t have to drive anywhere. We’ve got top-notch acts playing right here in Norwich.”

The Matt Barranti Band of Pittsburgh will sandwich a few sets of southern rock and blues on Saturday as a tribute to the work of Duane Allman, late guitarist for the Allman Brothers Band.
