City police make drug-related arrests

NORWICH – The City of Norwich Police Department made two arrests last Friday and two more Tuesday after carrying out searches of two Norwich residences suspected of trafficking illegal substances.

Police arrested Danielle R. Magistro, 24, and Steven M. Pighinni, 19, at Magistro’s residence at Plymouth Street on Oct. 20. Police also arrested Amy L. Donnelly, 36, and Becky J. Sines, 44, at Donnelly’s residence on Henry Street on Tuesday.



Pighinni was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and Sines was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly exposing a young child to drug-related activities; both crimes are misdemeanors. Magistro and Donnelly were both charged with first degree criminal nuisance, a felony, allegedly for organizing a business engaged in the unlawful sale of controlled substances.
