BPW plans annual women's conference

NORWICH – In celebration of National Business Women’s Week, the Norwich Business and Professional Women’s organization is holding its seventh annual women’s conference Wednesday at the American Legion.

Registration will be held 8-8:30 a.m. followed by breakfast and opening ceremonies. Keynote speaker Jude Thomas will speak on balancing home and career. A breakout session with Anne English Russell at 9:30 will be about giving positive images and dressing for success. Another session includes communication skills by June McIntyre Georgia. There will be vendors from 11:15 to noon followed by a luncheon with guest speaker Assemblyman Cliff Crouch. The “Woman of Excellence” award winner will also be announced.



There will be another session on the political process by Elizabeth Garry and women’s health issues by Dr. Elizabeth Tucker. There will be a panel discussion from women from various backgrounds and careers discussing the topic “Women – Rising Stars.” The last event of the day will be a silent Chinese auction.
