Unadilla Valley 4, Oxford 4

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley lost a two-goal halftime lead, but scored in the final seconds to earn a tie with Oxford Wednesday.

Trailing the Storm 3-1 at halftime, Oxford’s Chris Parks scored a pair of second-half goals to spearhead the comeback, the latter goal coming at 32:20 to push the Blackhawks in front.

Raffi Perry took a cross from Andy Hayes and redirected into the net with seven seconds left to salvage the deadlock for UV. “Sometimes a two-goal lead is tough to hold on to,” said Storm coach Matt Osborne. “I don’t think we played with the intensity we needed in the second half, but I have to give our guys credit for tying the game.”

Austin Beebe and Kilean Maynard added goals for Oxford.

Perry finished with two tallies, while Shayne Wilcox and Hayes picked up goals. UV (7-3-1) visits Sidney Friday at 7 p.m.

Cooperstown 7, S-E 2

COOPERSTOWN – Cooperstown’s Luke Banner and Chris Gentile overwhelmed the S-E defense in the Redskins’ second lopsided win over the Marauders this season.

Gentile and Banner combined for five goals and four assists, while also taking 16 of their team’s 19 shots on goal. “It was pretty much a repeat of the last game, and their physical style of play gives us difficulty,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. “We like to move the ball around, but we just don’t have the players for a physical game. They won most of the 50-50 balls and knocked us around.”

Gabe Fowler and Travis Tomaselli scored goals for S-E (3-3, 7-4-2), who host Canastota Friday.
