OXFORD – The Blackhawks trailed the entire game on their home floor against the Warriors of Walton. Nearly coming back in the contest with four minutes left, Oxford went cold offensively. That allowed Walton to run away with nine point MAC win Thursday.

The Blackhawks’ Jason Davis drained a 3-point bucket with four minutes remaining to pull his team within two points for the second time in the game. However, with the score at 44-42, Oxford came up empty down the floor and Walton took advantage as they went on a 13-6 run to close the game out for the victory.

Walton nearly built a double digit lead after both the first and second quarters, outscoring the Blackhawks 17-9 in the first. With the two teams matching point for point in the next stanza, the Warriors went into the intermission with the eight point margin in their favor.
