GREENE – McKenna Sergi and Emma Smith combined for 21 of the Lady Trojans 24 first quarter points as Greene held the pace throughout the contest in their 74-18 win over the Sidney Warriors Tuesday.

Sergi dialed in from long-distance early, hitting four 3-pointer in the quarter while teammate Smith dominated inside the paint as she scored eight points around the rim.

In the second, it was the Trojans’ Katelynn Pratt who controlled the inside. Pratt scored eight in the stanza to pace Greene, tallying nearly half of the points in the eight minutes of play.

Defensively, the Trojans’ defense held the Warriors to single digits in each of the four quarters. Following halftime, Sidney was limited to just one basket in the third. On the other end of the floor, Greene produced their second highest point total in a quarter for the contest as the team put up 20.

Kylee Peck of the Trojans recorded seven of her 11 total points in the third while Smith added six as she was on her way to a game-high 20 points. Smith drained a 3-pointer for her final points of the game in the fourth.

Scoring their first basket of the game in the final quarter for Greene were Baileigh Estabrooke and McKenzie Drew and the Trojans saw nearly every player score a point in the game.
