The 12 point win over Dolgeville at 164-152 for S-E came by way of two individual champions – Ethan Eldred (152), and Bailey Walzer (170) – while the Marauders also amassed two second place finishes, two third place finishes, a fourth, two fifths and a sixth. This master performance from S-E saw all 10 entrants into the tournament earn a spot on the podium.

The Otselic Valley Vikings also were present in Beaver River on Saturday, Feb. 4, where they finished 10th out of 14 teams – saw the Vikings place five out of 10 of their wrestlers with one individual champion – Nate Purtell at 99 pounds.

• 99 pounds: Nate Purtell, a junior for the Vikings and number one seeded wrestler at the weight, proved to all why he garnered the top-seed. Purtell snagged a first place championship at 99 pounds for Otselic Valley, going 2-0 on the day. Purtell would see action for just 3:04 for his total amount of time actually wrestling – earning an easy pun over Lucas LoRusso of Cooperstown in the semifinals; before handing out another pin to Andrew Walseman of Copenhagen at 2:17 in the finals.
