Frontier Communications Promotes O’Donnell To General Manager Of CNY

NORWICH – Frontier Communications, a leading provider of broadband, voice, data and satellite television services, recently announced the promotion of Frank O’Donnell to General Manager of its Central New York operations and sales.

In this role, O’Donnell will oversee field operations, sales and community relations and be responsible for every aspect of the customer experience in the communities of Chenango Bridge, Dryden, Dundee, Norwich, Sherburne, Sidney, Walton, Waterville, Adams, Pulaski, Cato, Hannibal, Alfred, Almond, Andover, Greenwood, Jasper, Fillmore, West Valley, Corfu, Sanborn, Darien and Dalton.

O’Donnell joined Frontier in 1990 as an Outside Plant Engineer and was promoted to successive positions of increasing responsibility including Technical Supervisor and Local Manager. Prior to Frontier, Frank served with Splicer’s Inc. in Conroe, Texas; and Maher Brothers Construction in Truxton, New York.

“Frank is a 37-year communications industry veteran with a proven track record of success in operations, sales and customer service,” said Kevin Smith, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Frontier’s New York operations. “Throughout his tenure with Frontier, Frank has demonstrated outstanding leadership and creativity, all with a customer-centric focus. He is a great representation of Frontier’s ‘local engagement’ philosophy, providing guidance and support to his communities through various voluntary leadership roles.”

Smith added: “Frank’s strong work ethic can be traced back to his experience on his family’s dairy farm in Truxton. For three decades until 2007, he was also the seasonal Ski School Director of Labrador Mountain Ski Center in Truxton, where he was responsible for more than 160 ski and snowboard teachers and race coaches and achieved the Professional Ski Instructors of America – Level Three Certification.”

O’Donnell was a member of the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce and served as the Town Supervisor of Truxton, where he was awarded the 2015 Truxton Community Spirit Award. He holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Morrisville State College.
