NORWICH – Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival in downtown Norwich will be this weekend, Saturday Sept. 12th and Sunday Sept. 13th.

This year’s Colorscape will feature a new Art Zone Stage which will run throughout the weekend.

According to a press release about the event: “There will be Magic by Michael, Catskill Puppet Theater, storytelling by Rainer Morgan, Linda Kertzman, and Story Laurie, as well as interactive workshops with the Norwich Theater Company.”

The Art Zone Stage complements the existing Art Zones 1 that offers hands-on arts activities for children, pre-school through age 9. The new Art Zone Stage will be located next to Art Zone 1 on 27 W. Main St.

“The new Art Zone Stage resulted from a concerted effort by Colorscape board members, volunteers, and members of the community who wanted to enhance the Colorscape experience by offering a performance art element,” said Colorscape Interim Executive Director Donna Dvoracek. “We’re excited to open the new Art Zone Stage along with the fact that this year, we’re hosting more artists than ever before.”
