NORWICH – Chenango Arts Council Executive Director Diane Batson-Smith pleased to announce the unveiling of the 40th year celebration of the Chenango Arts Council and the 16th Performing Arts Series.

“We are 40 years strong this year and both very proud and excited to be here providing services and cultural events throughout Chenango County and beyond,” said Batson-Smith.

By all accounts, this performance season promises to be one of the best yet and includes something for everyone; including a Halloween–themed illusionist, the glamour of pop–infused dance, and an evening with Samuel Clemens. Then we “take it to the streets” of downtown Norwich with the “No BS! Brass band” for May Day, 2016.

The season kicks off on Oct. 17 with Haunted Illusions with David Caserta, an evening of magic, comedy and never-before-seen illusions. You’ll be stunned and amazed as Master Illusionist David Caserta has people disappearing and re-appearing right before your very eyes. There will be tricks and more than a few treats at this magical Halloween-themed spectacular. Both young and young at heart are invited to attend.
