This years event is themed “The Great Gatsby” and organizers ask everyone to come dressed in their best roaring 20s attire. “We are encouraging people to dress up,” said Fur Ball chairperson and CSPCA board member, Nancy Swertfager. “We are going to have prizes for the best gangster and for the best flapper costume.” The prizes for the gangster costume will be a Southern Tier Harley Davidson shirt, and the prize for the best flapper costume will be a $25 gift certificate.

The Fur Ball promises an elegant, heart-filled evening featuring a variety of live entertainment and light gourmet fare.

Entertainment this year will be the band Splash, a Binghamton based party band, and Phoenix Project Dance, a Norwich based professional dance group. Both groups will be performing throughout the evening.

Guests will enjoy light cuisine, including a pasta bar, an entree bar, a mashed potato bar, and “pawsitively” delicious dessert bar. A cash bar will be available for alcoholic beverages.

In addition, portrait and group commemorative photos will be available by Gerry Raymonda Photography of Unadilla.
