OXFORD –  On Monday, January 5, the Village of Oxford Police Department responded to the scene of a one vehicle MVA on South Canal Street.

According to police, it is alleged that the operator of the vehicle, Joshua R. Bushey, 19 of New Hartford, fell asleep while driving and consequently veered off the east shoulder of the roadway making contact with a telephone pole and then a tree before traveling more then 200 feet into a field near the village wastewater treatment facility.
