Bainbridge-Guilford 52, Unatego 28

BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford held Unatego to just nine points in the second half to pull away for its seventh win of the season Thursday night.

Just two days earlier, the Spartans put 64 points on the board and had multiple players score in double figures. Cassidy Newman had 13 for Unatego, but B-G eighth-grader Abi Selfridge picked up Newman man-to-man in the second half, and held her to two points.

Selfridge scored a season-high 15 points to go with 10 rebounds, and Morgan Bullis scored a team-high 17 points, while snaring eight rebounds.

“Unatego had some good size and was definitely bigger than us, but we did a nice job on the boards and shot the ball fairly well tonight,” said B-G coach Bob Conway.

B-G (7-2) travels to Marathon Monday.
