Norwich Theater Company Sets Stage For “Rehearsal For Murder”

NORWICH – Coming at the heels of an enormously successful performance of “A Christmas Carol” that garnered distinguished honors for three individual members, the Norwich Theater Company is prepping to take the spotlight once again with its latest production, “Rehearsal for Murder.”

The Norwich Theater Company will host auditions for its newest upcoming production beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3 and again at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4. Both auditions will be held at the United Church of Christ on West Main Street in Norwich.

“Rehearsal for Murder” has been hailed by The Norwich Theater Company as a thrilling mystery, with a screenplay written by the creators of several suspenseful television series’ such as “Colombo,” “Mannix,” and “Murder She Wrote.” The show, under the direction of Company member Mena Close, is scheduled to start rehearsing Jan. 6, leading up to curtain time on March 21 and 22.

The Norwich Theater Company is calling for an ensemble of eight men and six women, ages ranging from 18-60, to tryout. Those auditioning for the play will be asked to do a cold reading from the script and possible callbacks. Anyone interested in a rehearsal should call 334-6317.
