A new store with a new location offers locals ‘something else’

NORWICH – Somethin’ Else on 6142 State HWY 12 in Norwich – a store that has been around just two short months – is moving into a larger space a few doors down from its current location in the North Plaza within the next two weeks. Somethin’ Else is a specialty store with a variety of items from jewelry to refrigerators. The most unique items in the store are new and used designer clothes and accessories including Coach, Chanel, Prada and Tiffany & Co.

Store owner Adelia Mullins is a highly educated Norwich native. She has a masters in human development and criminal justice and is currently earning her Phd. in psychology of counseling. She has a passion for helping people and cares about her community.

When she is not collecting degrees, she collects good deals. Her desire to help people, love for shopping and knack for getting a good deal is what led her to opening her own store. “I could not find a job that allowed me to use utilize my education and make a good living at the same time. I decided to make my own career. Opening up my own store is something I always wanted to do,” said Mullins.
