166th annual Chenango County Fair Talent, Flower Show winners announced

CHENANGO COUNTY – The 166th annual Chenango County Fair brought opportunities for local talent to be highlighted and showcased, and the winners of both the talent show and the annual flower show have been announced.

The fair held its annual talent show on Saturday, Aug. 10. According to talent show coordinator Terri Jackson, this year’s showcase featured 17 acts composed of 22 total contestants. There were two age divisions and four categories.

The Mini Division was reserved for contestants 12 and under.

First place prize in the dance category was earned by Kelsey and Jessica Quiter for their performance, titled “Right Foot/Left Foot.” Anna Thomsen and Leah Gorrell took the variety category with “The Cup Song.”

Mirrah Stewart left with the third place award in the vocal section for her performance of “Hurricane.” Aria Maholchic earned second place with “Let Me Be Your Star.” First place was awarded to Allision Beckwith for her rendition of “On My Own,” of Les Miserables.

The Talent Hunt Division was reserved for entrants 13 and older.

First place in the dance bracket was earned by performer Jackie Murrer for her act titled “Me and You.”

Amy Hogan won third place in the variety category, and Amy Branham earned second place with “Give Your Heart a Break.”
