Unatego 7, B-G 1

BAINBRIDGE – Unatego's Quinn Barnhart pitching six innings of two-hit ball, and the Spartans played error-free ball to hand B-G its first loss in four starts.

Barnhart received offensive help early on as Unatego scored six runs in the second to build a commanding lead. Kellen Komenda and Josh Feyerabend each had two-run singles, and Jon Wingate added a run-scoring single.

"Barnhart threw really well and had great command of his fastball," said B-G coach Tim Mattingly. "He also mixed in a nice curveball that kept us off balance. We were able to put a bat on the ball most of the game, but Unatego was very solid defensively."

B-G hosts Hancock on Monday.

Deposit 8, Unadilla Valley 7

DEPOSIT – Deposit scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally past Unadilla Valley Thursday afternoon.

The Lumberjacks loaded the bases with two outs, and a grounder to shortstop should have ended the contest. However, back-to-back throwing errors brought all three Deposit baserunners around to score, the last providing the winning run.
