Father/Daughter Dance supports Youth Days

NEW BERLIN – New Berlin’s always popular Youth Days celebration may be months away, but organizers and volunteers are already gearing up for the yearly event with the third annual Youth Days Father/Daughter Dance, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 23 in the Unadilla Valley Central School cafeteria.

According to New Berlin Mayor Terry Potter, the premise is simple: get everyone together for a fun-filled night of dancing and light refreshments – provided by New York Pizzeria – and get the word out that Youth Days, to be held Aug. 23-26, is right around the corner.

“Last year we had a great response and we expect the same this year,” said Potter, who has participated in each of the previous dances with his two daughters. “Actually it was packed last year, we had a full house, and we’re hoping to see that again.”

Tickets for the dance are $10 for adults, he added – no charge for children – and all proceeds benefit New Berlin’s Youth Days program. Tickets can be purchased at the Unadilla Valley Elementary School office, The Artist’s Palette in Norwich, NBT Bank of New Berlin, and the Village Office.
