Palace Players Present “The Swiete Chocolate Factory” This Weekend
Published: September 28th, 2012

HAMILTON– It’s September 1955—a delicious time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Swiete Chocolate Factory, founded by Purity Swiete in 1905. Purity invites everyone to join her and her employees on a special tour of the factory in this light-hearted 60-minute musical. Enjoy the delightful antics of the office workers taking orders for shipments of chocolate, the slick salesman selling “only the best” sugar; warehouse men receiving the key ingredients at the loading dock, and the assembly line crew making and wrapping those delicious chocolate bars just for you. Original songs and old-time favorite songs (with words sweetly altered) to fit the chocolate theme will be featured.

“The Swiete Chocolate Factory” is a Palace Players’ Production with two shows, Friday, at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 for youth 17 and under and $14 for adults 18 and older. They are available by calling 315-824-1420. Seating is general admission, cabaret style with tables and chairs to accommodate 150 for each tour. The house opens 30 minutes before each show. La Iquana, Hamilton restaurant, caters the musical with decadent chocolate treats and drinks.
