Monday Evening Musical Club Concert Features ‘something For Everyone’
Published: November 11th, 2011

NORWICH – The Monday Evening Musical Club presents its third concert of the season on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, 11 W. Main St. in Norwich.

The program features club members, area music teachers, and some special guest performers. The musical selections truly offer ‘something for everyone’ with compositions of George and Ira Gershwin, Franz Schubert, Broadway composer Andrew Lippa (Addams Family), and P.D.Q. Bach, the last (and most assuredly the least) of Johann Sebastian Bach’s offspring, as well as several others. There will also be a performance of “Birds of a Feather” by the late Vivien Harvey Slater. Mrs. Slater was an extraordinary musician and teacher, and a great friend to the Monday Evening Musical Club. Her piano duet will be played by Anita Humer and Kerry Koen.
