Jenkins Pleads Guilty To Cocaine Possession, Receives One Week Furlough

NORWICH – A 23-year-old Norwich woman accused of possessing narcotics with the intent to sell was granted furlough through Nov. 14 in order to see to her siblings’ needs prior to her incarceration.

Curissa Jenkins pleaded guilty to one count of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – a class B felony – on Friday and will be sentenced to five years in the Willard Drug Treatment Center with two years of post release supervision.

Jenkins will be tested regularly while on furlough, said Judge W. Howard Sullivan, and – should she test positive for any illegal substances – could receive up to nine years in state prison.
