NORWICH – More working families are in need of the emergency and basic needs services provided by Roots and Wings, according to those connected with the division of Catholic Charities of Chenango County.

“We have a lot of working families now,” reported Volunteer Coordinator Kathy Darrah.

To better serve this segment of the population, the local non-profit organization recently adjusted its hours of operation at its Barry Street location. The facility serves as both a food pantry and a clothing bank. Household goods, furniture and a host of other services are also available.

New pantry hours are 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
