SIDNEY – B-G’s third win this season over Sidney ended the Warriors’ campaign, and thrust the Bobcats into the second round of the Class C playoffs this Friday at number two seed Odessa-Montour.

Just a few days removed from a non-league win over Sidney – one in which B-G head coach Bob Conway won his 400th career game – the longtime Bobcats mentor wasn’t brimming with confidence Tuesday.

“After playing them twice and just playing them the other night, I was worried someone would not play well, and that someone would be us,” Conway said. “We were ready to play tonight and we came out and set the tone.”

Dani Conway had her third triple-double this season finishing with 24 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds.

After Sidney junior Dani Gravel hit a three ball to start the game, Conway came back with a trifecta of her own to tie the contest. Conway scored eight in the first quarter, but more importantly, six different Bobcats contributed to the 20-12 first-quarter advantage.

Kim Hart finished with 10 points, and Shania Vandermark posted a 10-point, 10-rebound game off the bench. “We shot the ball well and ran most of our offenses successfully,” Conway said. “Sidney is rivalry game, and it’s always hard to go to their place and win.”
