NORWICH – Is your tongue numb yet? Well if not, it will be. Join the faculty and staff at Gibson school for an evening of ryhming, games, prizes and more at this year’s Dr. Seuss family fun night.

Gibson Primary will celebrate everything Suess from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6. From “Green Eggs and Ham” to “The Cat in the Hat,” the school building will be filled with exciting family fun, the faculty says.

Event planner Betsy Campbell says “some of the ‘old’ Seuss favorites as well as some new have been planned for you.”

In the school’s computer lab, brothers, sisters, dads and moms will be let loose to explore on “Seussville.com.” There will be a life size Dr. Seuss game on the Stage as Thing 1, Thing 2, Sally & Conrad need to clean up before mother gets home, says Campbell.

Some activities will have time limits, while others will allow children to play again and again.

“Yertle the Turtle” races will take place in the auditorium eisles as children and parents alike will tower turtles on their head. Beautiful Bart’s Gooey-oooy oobleck will take place in the art room. “This activity will ‘stick’ with you, maybe up to your neck! So be bold and adventurous and dip into Oobleck,” said Campbell.
