OXFORD – Vanessa Pierson scored the lone first half goal for Oxford, who erupted in the second half offensively.

Julie Davis scored a pair of goals, the first at 28:18. Oxford finished with a season-high 33 penalty corners.

WHITNEY POINT – Greene has avoided the pitfall of previous seasons, and continues its strong play heading into the final weeks of the season.

Elisabeth Treadwell scored two goals for Greene including the opener at 22:27. After the Golden Eagles tied the game, Holly Davis cashed in with the go-ahead goal after an Amanda Barton shot. Barton drilled in a penalty stroke for the 3-1 halftime lead.

“We just keep improving as the season goes on,” said Greene coach Sue Carlin. “We’ve had great practices and we haven’t seen that lull.”

The Trojans compete in the Rome Tournament Friday and Saturday.
