ONEONTA – After a hard loss to Windsor, the Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team was on the road again, as they continue to make-up games, to face Oneonta. Norwich dropped its third straight game with a 5-1 loss to the Yellow jackets.

After a scoreless first inning, Oneonta got on the board with a three-run second. Norwich quieted them in the third, which allowed them to answer back with one run of their own, their lone run in the game off the only hit allowed by Oneonta pitching. Zack Parker’s RBI single drove in Carmine Pastore, who drew a lead-off walk and stole second base. Otherwise, Norwich reached base on three walks with one to Pastore and two to Braden Reid. Oneonta’s final two runs came in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Pastore and Colin Olds split time on the mound with Pastore going the distance with five innings, allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits, and walked two batters. Olds finished the game in relief, allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out two batters.
