...we offer you a bullet for your trouble.  I opened the Google News, honestly looking for a story on Evil Knievel's death, and there in the top stories is the plight of British teacher Gillian Gibbons who is in jail for 15 days on the naming of a teddy bear.  The country of Sudan wants her executed by firing squad for daring to allow her class to name a teddy Muhammed...WHAT????  Where is the British government in all this?  Where are WE in all this?  We, as a country will step in and defend peoples rights to religion, even when it is not our business...but there is a throng of government just standing in a corner and whistling ignorance while this poor woman is suffering heaven only knows what horror in the Sudan prison.  Shoot, even Oprah was all up in arms over the young woman who was threatened to be stoned to death for having a child out of wedlock a few years back, in a small foregin nation, and she was from that country and knew the laws.  This is a British woman who was there to educate children, and unaware that a misnomer on a small toy would land her with a possiable death sentence.  Ladies and Gentlemen, take off the blinders...open your mouths and demand safety for Gillian...she deserves nothing more then a plane ticket home that comes with a bullet proof car to get her there.  She is in a country where they do not hesitate to kill each other in the name of their religion, let alone someone who is an outsider.  Mark my words, if she was someone with a huge name, or bank account, she would not even still be in Sudan, but home safe with her family.  For once, lets put fame aside and let human nature prevail, and prevent another loss of life from the innocent.  By the way, I hear they are looking for a few Americans to come and teach children in Sudan...any takers?
