NORWICH – The Norwich Family YMCA held an award ceremony earlier this month recognizing individuals for their volunteer work throughout the year, and six were honored as heroes in different categories.

On January 10 at the Canasawacta Country Club, the YMCA held its 131 annual dinner and hero award recognition for volunteers who supported the Y throughout 2018.

According to Norwich YMCA Executive Director Jamey Mullen, this event is dedicated to the individuals who are willing to work for the greater good of the community without asking for pay.
