Oxford Lions Club dedicate new playground at Boname Park

OXFORD Members of the community gathered together on Tuesday for the dedication of the new playground equipment at Boname Park, generously donated by many different organizations in the community.

"None of us could do it on our own, but all together we were able to get the job done," said Lions Club President John Knapp of the project. "It's one of the things that makes Oxford so great."

Knapp personally thanked the Oxford Rotary Club, Oxford Lodge #175 Masons, RC Smith Foundation, Village of Oxford, Town of Oxford, Oxford Lions Club and the volunteers, all of who generously contributed to the purchase and installation of the new playground. The contributors are listed on a plaque located on the playground equipment along with the date of the dedication ceremony.
