Have an opinion on 'bump stocks?' Weigh-in on Sen. Akshar's survey

NEW YORK STATE – In the aftermath of the mass shooting in Las Vegas on October 1 that killed 58 and injured nearly 500 more, lawmakers across the country are debating the legality of selling and owning bump stocks: a device that makes semi-automatic weapons perform similarly to fully-automatic weapons.

Currently in New York State, it is legal to buy, sell, and own bump stock devices, but illegal to attach them to semi-automatic weapons.

NYS Senator Fred Akshar is asking his constituents across the 52nd Senate District to take part in an online survey to better scope how New Yorkers feel about the legality of bump stock devices.
