NORWICH – Maine-Endwell captured many first place finishes against the Lady Tornado varsity swimming and diving team, but Norwich didn’t go down easy as they lost 100-72.

Taking away 13 points that were handed to Maine-Endwell for diving, since Norwich does not have divers on their roster, the Tornado lost to the number three state ranked Spartans by a small margin of 15 points.

Starting off the meet with the usual 200 Yard Medley Relay, Norwich’s team of the Blaisure sisters, Margie Winter and Melissa Stroh placed second with a time of 2:02.80, just three seconds off the first place team held by the Spartans.

In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Norwich grabbed five team points to add to the final total. Emerson Burton took a second place finish in the event with teammate Lauren Llewellyn taking the fifth place spot.
